Medbox App/Webpage
Challenge: Create a mobile app/webpage that has practical societal implications
Solution: Create an application that reminds people when to take their medications as well as giving them an easier way to connect them with their doctors.
Target Audience: Male/Female of all ages that take daily medications
Goals
The goals of this project were to research and come up with a simple and efficient user experience where people of all ages can add in their medication schedule and be reminded when to take it.
Research Methods
Survey: A quick survey was created and given to random people. The questions on the survey were mainly related to their personal and family health and if they struggle with having to take different medications or if a family member needs to be consistently reminded to take them.
Interviews: After the surveys were finished 15 participants were interviewed. These people were mixed in age and gender and were asked more personal questions about their everyday lives and their issues with staying on top of their medications
Usability Test: After conducting the interviews a low-fidelity mockup was created and given to people to test. The participants were asked rate their experience from a scale of 1-5 on the level of difficulty it was to add their own medication schedule to the app.
Personas
After collecting data from the research methods used two personas were created representing the entire group of people involved in the research.
